Cosmospheres are solid effect beads filled with actives used to visually enhance the appearance of cosmetics formulations. After addition to water-based formulations, they become soft and break down immediately after skin application.

The beads are based on microcrystalline cellulose and lactose or as a vegan variation based on mannitol. The

Cosmospheres are manufactured by Omya in Switzerland and are available in a variety of colours and sizes between 0.5 – 1.5 mm within the standard range.
